A seminarian who personally decides to leave the seminary or a house of formation (towards the Catholic priesthood or a religious life), or is expelled or withdrawn from the seminary or house of formation, suddenly becomes an ex-seminarian. He has to make choices about how he wants to begin again to live his life outside the seminary or house of formation. The choices that he must make depend on many factors (within and outside his control) that influence him; and the choices he rightly or wrongly makes map out his future.
