Module 3: Principles of Growing Wealth

  • Talents or Gifts: (a) Creative: Decorator, Fashion Designer, Event Planner, Hair Stylist, Musician, Artist, Engineer, (b) Interpersonal: MCs, Auctioneers, Hospital Workers, Sales Rep, PRO/Debater, Fund-Raiser, Politician, Diplomat, Marketer, Good Preacher/Evangelist, Counsellor, Personnel Management, (c) Intellectual:  Presenter/Communication, Teacher, Security agents, Writer, Counsellor, Science and Technology.
  • Avoid The Following: (i) Avoid Mediocrity – give room for growth, (ii) Avoid the Comfort Zone – give room for change, (iii) Avoid “I can’t do it!” syndrome – give room for learning new things, (iv) Avoid the Easy Way Out or shortcut – learn thoroughly, patiently, diligently, and persistently, (v) Avoid Negative People and Negative Thoughts: give room for positive thinking and develop a millionaire mindset to attract people and ideas that grow wealth.
  • Be a Producer: (i) Invest in Yourself: “Knowing Thyself!” (ii) Invest in Your Purpose: Read Courses (Education) and Books to know more about your Purpose, Career or Job, and your Plans, (iii) Be a Student at heart: Learn from others experience, including your rich or poor parents, so that you make less mistakes, (iv) Know the difference between assets (things that grow in value) and liabilities (things that depreciate in value) – food, clothing, shelter, car, etc. Avoid extravagance.   
  • Build Systems: Learn from God the Creator, or from Nature’s Evolution or Atoms: Creation or Nature reproduce itself following rules or laws of nature or creation. So, (a) Life is not fair, so stop complaining and build a rich mindset, (b) Save by spending less than your make or earn, (c) Learn from the Parable of the Talents: Saved money should be invested in a new business or to learn a new skill, and in things that gives you more income while you sleep – shares, bonds, stock, fixed deposit, a contribution that yields interest, Real Estate, buying and selling at different seasons, publishing a book, etc, (d) Have two or more related sources of income – don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
  • The Creative Mindset: (a) Break out of the matrix of life, (b) Have a vision, reflect on it often, eliminate fear and negative ideas, and listen to your subconscious mind and the attraction from nature, (c) Identify a problem and offer a simple solution that can operate without your presence over time.
  • Teach Children the Rich Mindset: Teach Children how to give, spend, and invest. Teach them the skills of passive income before they the age of 16.

Module 3 Assignment:

  1. What are the possible two (2) or more business you can do successfully?
  2. Is the Course you studied in tertiary institution in line with your purpose, vision, goal, gift or talent? If ‘Yes!’, do you need to advance in the course? If ‘No!’, can you go back to school to study your dream course?
  3. Is there a trade or business you are good at that you need to learn? If ‘Yes!’, what is preventing you from learning or starting the business now?
  4. If you are given ten million naira or dollars today, what are the assets you will invest it into to grow it into twenty million naira or dollars in 2 – 3 years.

Submit on or before 6pm a week from today.
