Veritas July 2024 Edition: Sacrifice and the Magnetism of Good (Part Two)
SACRIFICE
And the Magnetism of Good
(Part Two)
In June, we discussed the first part of “Sacrifice and the Magnetism of Good.” Our focus was on Men and women of goodwill who, under the Magnetism of Good, accept “the negative and painful challenges or sufferings of life” they cannot change, and offer them to God for their spiritual, material, and moral growth. This is the basis of the “Morning Offering” we are encouraged to make or say daily so that such sufferings or challenges may not be wasted.
In this month of July we shall be reflecting on the second way of making sacrifice in line with the Magnetism of Good. This second way “is to intentionally make sacrifices in line with moral virtue.”
Most persons have good intentions or plans to succeed in life materially and spiritually. They are doing their best, but their best seems not to be good enough. They are not making enough progress as they ought to be making. This lack of material and spiritual progress may be due to lack of knowledge, lack of skill, lack of enough investment in material and spiritual growth, or lack of enough sacrifice to spiritually fortify, vivify, and enhance their material or spiritual endeavours.
If you lack the sacrifice to spiritually enhance or vivify your material or spiritual endeavours, then you can intentionally offer physical experiences as sacrifices to the Supreme Being, God, towards attaining success. The following are examples of physical experiences you can intentionally offer to God as sacrifice for your spiritual or material needs: (a) fasting from food and water for a period of time (for instance from waking up in the morning till 12 noon or 2pm) once in a week, or for nine consecutive days in a month provided it does not harm your body, (b) trekking under the sun or with an umbrella under the rain for about 30 minutes or an hour once or thrice a week, (c) maintaining virginity, or practising chastity according to one’s state in life, (d) being punctual and diligent at work and earning your pay or salary without exploiting others, (e) daily or three times a week visit to the Blessed Sacrament, (f) giving alms on regular basis to the poor or those who are genuinely in need, and done in such a way that “your left hand do not know what your right hand is doing”, (f) cleaning the home of an elderly person on a weekly basis, etcetera. These acts of sacrifices we intentionally make are to be done and offered to God to fortify, vivify, and enhance our aspirations in life.
Now, the kind of sacrifice suitable for a particular person may not be suitable for another person. Studies done in Epistemic Magnetism and Mysticism (which is one of the classes/training in Epistemic Concept) have shown that the power of God in a person reflects through his/her body, and this can give the person a clue to the kind of sacrifice he/she needs to make to enable the power of God in him/her to fortify, vivify, and enhance his/her material or spiritual needs. Thus, each person should find out which form of sacrifice he/she needs to grow and become successful in life. For example, we can take a clue from the story of Samson and Delilah (Judges 16: 4 – 30) in the Bible. God’s strength does not need any physical thing in our body (sacrifice) to manifest or be potent in our lives. But since God in His infinite wisdom created each human person as a composite of body and soul/spirit (Mind and Body), God respects that union of body and soul/spirit (Mind and Body) and often allows His strength in our soul/spirit (Mind) to manifest through our body (and studies in The Philosophy and Science of the Knowledge from Feelings and Telepathy has proven this to be true). Hence, Samson’s physical sacrifice of being a Nazirite, which requires that no razor should touch his hair and that he should abstain from strong wine (which are things of the body), was essential to the manifestation of God’s power in Samson.
It is expedient for each person to find out which sacrifice he/she should make. Note that if you are able to discover the sacrifice suitable for you, you may be required to keep it secret and, if you must talk about it, be wise enough to share it with persons you trust. Learn from the story of Samson and Delilah. To know, understand, and be able to practice the sacrifice suitable for you, let your Subconscious Intuitions, Feelings and Telepathy, Dreams, and Epistemic Magnetism and Mysticism guide you.
