Veritas May 2024 Edition: Sacrifice and the Magnetism of Evil

SACRIFICE

And the Magnetism of Evil

Sacrifice, conceived from the perspective of Epistemic Magnetism and Mysticism is the price one pays to obtain something, achieve success, and persevere or endure through life. Schooling demands a lot of sacrifice like reading, submitting assignments as at when due, eating well and getting enough rest for the human brain to function well. Growing your own business requires a lot of sacrifice like learning the skills of the business, attending seminars and workshops, sustaining clients or customers, and constantly investing into the business. Married life is sacrificial beginning with the sacrifice of surrendering your freedom and liberty as a bachelor or a spincer, pleasing your spouse, and sustaining the family morally (practicing virtues) and financially. The priesthood and religious life also demand a lot of sacrifice like sustaining a life of prayer (especially celebrating or attending mass, and praying the Divine Office and the Rosary daily), daily and persistent studying of the Scriptures, and preserving chastity. Politics demands a lot of sacrifice as well including speaking and standing for the truth always, and providing the dividends of democracy to the citizens.

These sacrifices we make on a daily basis can include other non-human persons like God, angels, demons, ancestors, gods, and the saints. This is because as persons who pray and relate with spiritual beings, and we often ask for the intercessions, assistance, support and strength of spiritual beings to help us attain our goals in life. Thus, the sacrifices we make involve something physical (like trekking, carrying something, and sitting), mental (like reading, thinking, reflecting, imagining), and spiritual (like praying and fasting, and performing some rituals). When it comes to rituals, we are venturing into the Magnetism of Good and the Magnetism of Evil.

Human persons under the Magnetism of Evil make sacrifices we are familiar with. Here reference is made to human persons who consciously or unconsciously sign a pact or contract with the devil, demons or malignant spirits, or men and women of bad will. Such persons perform different rituals for wealth, to grow their business, for protection, and for fame. Examples of such rituals or sacrifices in the Magnetism of Evil include (a) having sexual intercourse with a mad person, or up to a certain number of persons daily or weekly, or with one’s parent against his/her consent, (b) never to eat or drink a particular food or drink, (c) never to sleep at night (sleep only during the day), (d) never to sleep in a locked room, (e) never to wear shoes, (f) making incantations at certain times of the day or night, or at the full moon, (g) using the left hand consistently to give money or serve persons (especially when one by nature is not left-handed), (h) to completely spend any money gotten in a given day that same day, (i) to sacrifice certain animals or human persons at regular intervals, etcetera. These sacrifices or rituals are dangerous on two counts. Firstly, they are dehumanizing and enslaving because they compromise some of the essential characteristics of the human person which we ought to safeguard against all odds. Some examples of essential characteristics of the human person are rationality, freewill and free choice, and consciousness. Secondly, they have “hidden charges.” These hidden charges are values that are worth more than the wealth, protection, or fame promised or given by the Magnetism of Evil. Examples of hidden charges are (a) shortness of life or premature death, (b) longevity in abject poverty and poor health, (c) inability to have your own children or inability of your lineage to have children, (d) inability to get married, or if such a person is married with children, his or her children may never get married, (e) lack of joy and happiness, etcetera.

We live in a world of a growing number of persons involved in rituals and “yahoo”. Such persons are either not aware of hidden charges or they do not care about them. Instead of envy them, or getting angry over their ritual or occult practices, just pity them. They are burning their candles at both ends, and they ‘do not know what they are doing’. If they claim to know what they are doing, then consider them as fools, for only a fool can see a stone coming to hit him/her in the eye and allows it to happen.

Now, there is also sacrifice from the perspective of the Magnetism of Good. Such a sacrifice is what is recommended for Christians and all men and women of good will. This will be discussed in the June edition, by the grace of God.
